Laughter, The Best Medicine

1

Writing romantic comedy is what I do. It’s the only possible outlet for me. From the moment my father told me, “Laugh at yourself first, baby, so no one can beat you to it, you little toothless twerp,” I took it to heart. Laugh at yourself first. Beat every other sucker to it.

When I was told I was dying, I demanded from my best friend, Sandra Hill, that I had to have my ashes shown boldly in the only room in my house I was proud of…my newly decorated bathroom. She said, “Of course. I’ll stuff you in the sink and people can come pay respects and pee at the same time.” I said, “Do you mind putting up a sign saying ‘Try to keep from peeing on the ashes.’”

When you love laughing at life you love sticking around to enjoy it.

Laugh, love, and enjoy comedy.

Best, Trish

    Diva Trish,
I’m so glad you didn’t die. I would’ve hated to miss your wonderful sense of humor here at the Clever Divas!
